Upcoming Holiday

OK, I'll bite. I'll talk about the dreaded or wonderful (depends on your current situation) day called.... Valentine's Day.

This day always amazes me.

My sister... whether she was in a relationship or not... LOVED this holiday. I however, have always been bitter and cynical.

The worst in when you get a Valentine from your parents cause you don't have a Valentine.... really Mom and Dad??? You aren't the next best thing.

But yet I ALSO hate calling it Single's Awareness Day. It is like the twist with a knife when you are stabbed.

What I'm saying is... enjoy your day. However, you plan to spend it. This year I'm spending it with my friends who I love very much. And at the end of the day... I guess I'll be able to say I spent with people I love. I guess that is more than what most people get.

In other words Cupid can take his arrow and shove it up his ass.

Certain Songs

Now, I'm a fan of music.. but really.. who isn't? That is like saying "I think puppies are cute"

Anyways... Nothing is better then when you are listening to a song for the first time and you just say to yourself... "I fucking love this song." This recently happened with me with Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You." I was exposed to that song the FIRST day it hit the radio (Thank you Ryan Seacrest). I listen to this songa bout 3 times a day.. if not more. It just amazes me when that happens. How can you know you'll love a piece of music in 3 minutes?

Then there is the other occurrence... When you first hear a song and go "Well this is the biggest piece of shit I've ever heard." Then the more you hear i,t because everyone else wants to hear it on the fucking radio, you start to fall in love with it. you refuse to ever say you hated it. This happened to me Junior year of college with the song "Honk Tonk BaDonkadonk." That song was digusting and then I discovered the glory of it on the dance floor (Thank you wednesday country nights at Stix.)

I want to know if either of these have happen to you in the past... recently? long ago?

Vampires????

My question today is... what is with the curiosity of Vampires?

I ask this.. because I am also intrigued by this mythical creature.

I was never really interested in Vampires... then of course, I read Twilight, New Moon.. etc. and I can't get enough!

I watched Interview with the Vampire.. and now I've started watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Vampires is fiction that has been around for a long time. So obviously the human race is intrigued... but I ask you... WHY!?

Do we deep down want to suck humans blood? Is it the sexual underlining that is involved? I just don't get it.

Please leave your thoughts.

Wafting and Wallowing

The Title:

Definitions according to my friends in Peoria IL

Wafting - The act of laziness and accomplishing nothing but lying around and watching TV in a positive mindset

Wallowing - The act of laziness and accomplishing nothing but lying around and watching TV in a negative mindset.

Now, I love a day of wafting. Especially when I dont' feel the need to call anyone and or anything and I just stay in my room and watch an episode of something like Dawson's creek and then take a nap... then wake up watch another one... then nap.

Wallowing... is a different story. That is when I hate being around people or I jsut have too much on my mind that all I want to do is forget it. so I sleep... a lot more.

Both of these times are needed in life. It is called Alone Time. No one should be around people all of the time.
